Job Description: Charity Pharmacy Website Maintainer (Wix Platform)
Overview
All Together Pharmacy is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to affordable medication. We rely on our website to be a professional, accurate, and accessible source of information for our patients, partners, and community. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Website Maintainer with expert knowledge of the Wix platform to manage, update, and optimize our existing organizational website. This is a critical remote role that ensures our online presence effectively supports our charitable mission.
Key Responsibilities
I. Website Maintenance and Content Management
Wix Platform Management: Serve as the primary administrator for the All Together Pharmacy website built entirely on the Wix platform (using the Wix Editor, CMS, and Velo).
Content Accuracy: Execute all content updates, including text, images, service lists, operational hours, contact details, and current events, ensuring 100% accuracy and consistency with organizational messaging.
Design Integrity: Maintain the existing aesthetic design, branding, and user interface (UI) to ensure a consistent, professional, and user-friendly experience across the entire site.
Mobile Optimization: Rigorously test and ensure all new features, pages, and content are fully responsive and optimized for seamless viewing on all device types (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
II. Technical Performance and Compliance
Functionality & Integration: Manage the proper integration and functionality of essential Wix applications, including online forms, appointment/scheduling widgets, and secure donation processing tools.
Technical Health: Proactively monitor site performance, conduct regular checks for broken links, fix technical errors, and manage platform updates, backups, and site security within the Wix environment.
SEO & Accessibility: Implement basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices (e.g., meta tags, alt text, proper heading structure) to improve visibility. Strive to maintain basic Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliance.
Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by users or the internal team.
III. Collaboration and Reporting
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the leadership and marketing teams to prioritize content needs and technical tasks.
Documentation: Maintain clear documentation regarding site structure, custom code, integrated applications, and maintenance procedures.
Reporting: Provide periodic reports on key website metrics, such as traffic, page performance, and donation page conversion rates (if applicable).
Qualifications
Required
Platform Expertise: Extensive, proven experience directly managing, editing, and maintaining a professional website using the Wix platform and its associated tools (Editor, CMS).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Wix applications and understanding the structure of dynamic content. Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS is a plus, though not mandatory for Wix maintenance.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on detail and accuracy, especially when dealing with critical information like pharmacy hours and patient services.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Style: Highly independent, self-motivated, and capable of managing deadlines in a remote work environment.
Preferred
Experience with Wix CMS for advanced functionality or database manipulation.
Familiarity with non-profit or healthcare website requirements and regulations (e.g., patient privacy considerations).
Experience with graphic design tools for basic image optimization (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).
