About the Role

Key Responsibilities
I. Resource Compilation and Curation
Charitable Program Identification: Systematically research and identify potential cost-saving and supportive resources, including:

Pharmaceutical manufacturer patient assistance programs (PAPs).

Manufacturer drug coupons and copay assistance cards.

Disease-specific charitable foundations and grants (e.g., for diabetes, asthma, oncology).

Local, state, and national non-profit organizations providing support for medication, housing, food, or transportation.

Data Compilation: Organize all gathered information into a structured, accessible digital database or repository (e.g., shared document, spreadsheet, or internal wiki).

Maintenance and Updates: Establish and execute a rigorous schedule for verifying and updating resource information (e.g., contact details, eligibility criteria, application links) to ensure accuracy and prevent resource expiration.

II. Research and Technology Utilization
Advanced Research: Utilize sophisticated search engine techniques and emerging AI/digital research tools to efficiently scan the digital landscape for new and updated patient assistance resources.

Trend Analysis: Monitor changes in pharmaceutical pricing policies, charitable giving trends, and government assistance programs that impact patient access.

Reporting: Summarize and present key findings and newly identified resources to the pharmacy leadership and clinical staff in a clear, concise manner.

III. Team Support and Training
Tool Development: Assist in developing user-friendly guides, quick reference sheets, and internal training materials based on the compiled resource library.

Inquiry Support: Serve as the primary internal contact for team members seeking information on specific or complex patient resource options.

Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to the workflow for applying for and tracking patient assistance applications based on resource characteristics.

Qualifications
Required
Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) in a role requiring extensive data compilation, research, and documentation; experience in healthcare, finance, or social work is a plus.

Technical Skills: High proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Google Sheets/Excel, Microsoft Office Suite) for data organization and reporting. Must be highly adept at using online search engines and research methodologies.

Research Acumen: Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately source information from diverse online and organizational resources.

Attributes: Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.

Preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology, drug names, and the structure of patient assistance programs (PAPs).

Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment.

Familiarity with non-profit or charitable resource organizations.

Requirements

This position will support the compilation of resources available to the team that help us deliver our care.


For example, the work will involve compiling a list of charitible resources, such as manufacturer drug coupons, or other charities.


This work may be performed remotely, and will involve researching and compiling information using tools such as AI and search engines.
